Textured rooms

Texture can take a room from boring to beautiful. It’s easy to fall into a rut with home decor. Picking up pieces along the way can help out.

Adding different textures is easy with different items in a room. Adding a plush pillow with a shaggy rug and patterned curtains can make a room look layered and diverse instead of flat and neutral.

Along with pillows, rugs and curtains, there are plenty of other elements that can add layers and texture to a room. Add multiple types of plants and blankets of different patterns/types of materials to add more drama to the room. Coffee and end tables of different materials or wood colors also add to a room.

To top it all off, try different light fixtures or colored lamp shades to brighten a room. Take some clues from these rooms.
