My motivation to meditate

I recently started meditating in hopes of clearing my head and getting over my unnecessary worries. I downloaded the Calm app, and I have been having success with it so far.

I am an overthinker and a natural-born worry wart. I feel anxious most of the time, and I often suffer from stress headaches. Because of this, I can’t calm down and clear my mind.

I recently started meditating in hopes of clearing my head and getting over my unnecessary worries. I downloaded the Calm app, and I have been having success with it so far. The app guides you through 10-minute meditation sessions. It helps you focus on breathing and clearing your head. Once you start thinking about stresses or worries, the app forces you to focus on your breathing and your body.

I use the app before bed to help me relax and empty my head before I fall asleep. I’ve noticed that I am now more aware in stressful situations and can focus on staying calm, so I’m off to a good start.

And after reading articles online about meditation and success, I feel much better about my new journey. In a Huffington Post article, many successful CEOs mentioned that they meditate, and it helped them become more successful. The article also mentioned that meditation has many benefits, including “lower stress levels, improved cognitive functioning, creative thinking and productivity, and even improved physical health.”

That was enough to motivate me!
