It’s getting close to the end of the year and I don’t know about you, but I know it’s getting harder for me to get up in the morning.
From late nights and busy weekends to parties and get-togethers with friends, morning rolls around too quick. I have some tips to help mornings run a little smoother.
1. Do prep work at night.
If you don’t already, think about picking out your outfit the night before and getting everything prepared to make that cup of Joe first thing in the morning. It’s also a good idea to pack your lunch at night. It will shave time off your morning routine.
2. Set your alarm to a song you like. Waking up to nice music will start your day on a good note rather than being angry about a blaring beeping sound.
3. Put your alarm out of arm’s reach. This may sound cruel to make you get out of bed to turn off the alarm, but it will help. Lounging around in bed just makes you more tired than if you got up right away.
4. Keep your keys, bag, wallet, work bag, workout gear, etc. in the same spot. Keeping your essentials in the same spot will help you make sure you have everything before heading out the door in the morning.
5. Have breakfast. Eating something in the morning gets your day started, and it helps keep you focused more than if you skip breakfast.
