Bringing the outdoors in

This is the time of year that everything goes dim. From the time change darkening the sky earlier and the leaves falling off the trees, everything seems to go into sleep mode.

If you’re like me, then the end of fall and beginning of winter is a gloomy time. After the vibrant colors in fall, it’s hard to get excited for such a drab season as winter.

But I found a trick that helps me. I bring the outdoors in. I like to keep plants in my house to add some color and life. I may not have a green thumb, but it’s not too hard to keep house plants alive.

Having a couple plants around is a nice reminder that spring will be on its way, and the winter gloominess can’t last forever.
