Bunny Seifert spent the first year of her dancing career not dancing. At age 3, Seifert refused to practice at Candy Apple’s Dance Studio. She would sit on the ground and rebuff any attempts the instructors made to have her jump around the room with them.

One of the brightest lights on the local theater scene, Joy Ellis has done dynamic and memorable work in the Players Guild musicals “Sister Act” and “Memphis,” playing a street-smart novice nun and a fiery nightclub singer. On November 2, Ellis opens in another Guild musical production, “Aida,” this time portraying a Nubian princess torn between forbidden love and duty.
I’m someone who always says she’s not that interested in art. But that’s actually a lie. Maybe I don’t know a valuable piece of art when I see one and maybe I don’t find art museums particularly enthralling, but I definitely value the arts. Art extends way beyond paintings and sculptures.
