Last Look: The photographer’s view

One of the first things aspiring amateur photographers look to capture is sunsets. Mankind has admired them for countless years. For some reason, I may be one of the few veteran photojournalists who are still struck by the beauty of the onset of nightfall or the semi-darkness that immediately follows dusk.

Ice wine

Ice wine is rapidly becoming a signature product for Ohio. “At last count, we had 16 wineries producing it. In the mid-’90s, we had one,” said Donniella Winchell, executive director of the Ohio Wine Producers Association.

Ready set run

In the time it takes you to watch an episode of your favorite television show, you could start and finish a 5K race. And in the weeks between the show’s season premiere and its finale, you could train and be ready for the 3.1-mile race.
