Deli Ohio always has been one of my favorite restaurants in downtown Canton. I get the same thing every time I go, so I was excited to order off of more of the menu for this month’s restaurant review. The ham apple brie sandwich will continue to be my first choice (it’s just so good), but there are lots of great options.
It certainly seemed bold and risky to launch a new bakery in April, in the midst of the coronavirus stay-at-home order. But following her longtime dream, Ashley Graham, 23, went ahead and followed her plan to open In the Mix Bakery at 234 E Main Street in downtown Louisville.
I love coffee more than I love most things, and I rely on it to function each day, so this Test Kitchen is near and dear to my heart. My first taste of coffee was at 13, when my aunt bought me a caramel Frappuccino from Starbucks while we were back-to-school shopping. I was thrilled. I thought it was a great treat, and I’d never felt more grown up.
Enjoy food from four great restaurants on one block across from Meyers Lake Plaza. Michael D’s is a fun sports bar offering delicious food. The Grille offers a cozy setting for conversation and a memorable meal. The Cafe is as close to homemade as you can get, and Demario’s Pizza is home of the square pizza.
As a woman in her last year of her 20s, I’ve been worrying about my skin for years. From puberty to the stress of adulthood, I feel like my skin never got out of the acne phase. I’ve tried countless products, many of which made my skin worse. In the end, I’ve noticed that my skin always looks best when I eat healthy foods, pick my skin less and use less products on it.
Hillside Millworks & Design was born out of Josh Smith’s promise to his wife, Emily. “We were living on college furniture,” he recalled with a laugh. “I made her a promise I would build her an entertainment stand, and she held me to that promise.”
A blog post about local restaurants is what led Collyn Floyd to the dream marketing job she didn’t know she wanted. Floyd, a Missouri native who came to Stark County in 1999, had been co-authoring a lifestyle blog about all of her favorite places for food, fun and funky finds when a representative from Team NEO, a regional business development organization, asked her to write a post for its regional tourism site.

The iconic series “Unsolved Mysteries” is back! Fusing signature elements from the original series with contemporary immersive, character-driven storytelling, the 12 new episodes are rooted in the experiences of ordinary people who have lived the unthinkable—from the trauma of a loved one’s unexplained disappearance or horrific death, to the shock of a bizarre paranormal encounter. Alongside detectives and journalists, family members offer clues, present theories and identify suspects, hoping one viewer holds the key to solving the mystery. The first six episodes premiere on July 1.
When The Nighlight Cinema in downtown Akron closed March 15, the organization had to figure out what to do next. Operating an intimate 46-seat movie theater wasn’t safe during the coronavirus pandemic. And The Nighlight always has operated as not just a place to screen independent films, but a place to bring people together.
