They are our visionaries, our elected officials, our mentors. They lead capital campaigns, advocate for the underserved, serve on our boards and speak out against injustice. They are leaders who have served our community in countless ways, large and small, for 30 years. And much of the legacy they have created is thanks in part to Leadership Stark County.
You wouldn’t think it was difficult to track down a bell this size and particularly one that is this close to my office. So I reached out to Derek Gordon, director of the Canton Parks and Recreations Department.
Tom and Karen Robinson started taking dance lessons in 2010, in advance of their youngest son’s wedding. They wanted to be able to do more than a traditional, rock-back-and-forth slow dance and ended up being able to rumba at the reception.

I’ve always thought that the programming the Stark County District Library puts together is pretty creative. But I’m especially fond of its latest venture, the Dr. Audrey Lavin Speak of Books Author Series, which brings acclaimed authors (with New York Times bestsellers, no less) here to Stark County to discuss their work and literature in general.
Locally owned Oh Style Boutique features the latest styles in women’s clothing and accessories. In December, the boutique opened its first storefront in North Canton. Oh Style offers sizes small to 3XL, with new pieces arriving weekly.
