The Massillon Woman’s Club sponsored its annual Autumn Luncheon fundraiser in October. Entitled “Harvest in Harmony,” the event was held at the historically significant Five Oaks Mansion in Massillon which was built in the late 1800s.
The Women’s Board of Aultman Hospital hosted its sixth annual fashion show, Angels on the Runway, Fashion for a Cause in November at the Historical Onesto Hotel, led by co-chairs Heather Fisher and Christine Schulman.
More than 500 people were in attendance at the Patriot Ball, a black-tie dinner and dance at Canton Memorial Civic Center in November honoring people in the military.

For lovers of decadent sweets, Carrie Buchanan’s Bombshell Cupcakes & Cookies are an answered prayer. One of her many over-the-top, muffin-sized cupcakes, titled Junk in Her Trunk, is moist chococolate cake, loaded with Oreos, toffee candy and chocolate chip cookie dough, with vanilla frosting and a Reese’s cup garnish.
A popular menu item at Main Street Grille in North Canton is the cedar-grilled salmon entree. Restaurant owner Preston Milstead explains, “To start off, we hand-cut every piece of salmon to 7 ounces, then we use a sweeter Riesling wine and soak the cedar at least eight hours.
