We celebrated our sixth anniversary and our recent relaunch at the Pavilion at Gervasi Vineyard in June. The party featured hors d’oeuvres, drinks, dessert and music by Yankee Bravo. About 150 guests had a fun evening celebrating six years of About. Executive manager Jess Bennett explained how proud she is of the team and spoke of the recent changes and what’s in store for the future of About.
Jimmy Fields and Brooke Humes met in November 2008 at Taco Bell through mutual friends. The couple dated for four years, and then in March 2013, Jimmy asked Brooke’s father for her hand in marriage. At the couple’s baby shower, Jimmy proposed in front of all of their friends and family.

The National Inventors Hall of Fame was found in 1973. It previously was located in Akron, but in 2008, it was moved to Alexandria, Virginia. The new Hall of Fame opened its doors in late May of this year. There are interactive kiosks for each of the more than 500 inductees. These allow visitors to learn more about each inventor and his or her invention.
