Stark County is the place where I grew up and the place where my husband and I have chosen to raise our own children. I want to see this area thrive and remain a great place to live for future generations. I hope that any contribution I am able to make lessens some hardships for others.
The love of Jesus Christ is what compels me to better the lives of the Canton community. Experiencing Jesus’ love through forgiveness enables me to have compassion for those around me, joy for the work I do, and hope for our future.
My children inspire me to better the community. I want to make sure my children understand the importance of a growing and thriving community and what it has to offer to individuals of all ages.
As a kindergarten teacher and a mother to two young children, I am motivated to allow our youth the opportunity to understand what it means to support, care and help make a difference in the community we live in.
The best career advice I’ve received is to not be afraid to hit the “reset” button every now and then. The legal profession can be demanding and stressful, and I was advised early on to not apologize for taking a break about every six months.
This isn’t really advice, but my mom and dad were great examples of the importance of hard work, being responsible and following through on commitments. All three are things that I think are essential to succeed in any career.
We have so much potential in Canton and Stark County, and we have so many people that are working hard to make our community a better place. We have been through tough times and people count us out because of it, but as a community, we operate with a chip on our shoulder and we have a lot of resilience.
My genuine love to help all humanity discover their purpose, and an internal desire to die empty because I poured my heart and soul into the lives of others so they can be the change our community needs.
I was born and raised in this community and, therefore, I have an innate connection to its rich history, its strengths and its challenges. I have a personal interest in seeing the community thrive.
