Dale Brown Sr. never got to see Santa as a kid. Growing up in the country, the closest he got was occasionally catching a glimpse of Santa walking around a store. But today, he is Santa—to his family, the children in his neighborhood and anyone who visits Carnation City Mall.

The holidays are in full swing! It’s the most wonderful time of the year, isn’t it? I’ve had my fair share of Christmases that I wouldn’t quite classify as wonderful. The year that Santa came on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas Day, which made for a dramatic Christmas morning.

We had a one-on-one with Santa as he began to gear up for the holiday season. We found him to be as bighearted and sincere as you could imagine Santa Claus to be.
