It wasn’t necessarily love at first sight for Jess and Doug Bennett. “He said to me once at the office that I was the female version of him and he hated me,” said the former Jess Andreae who grew up in rural Westfield Township in Medina County and moved to Stark County to attend Walsh University. “But I like to think of that as the 40-year-old man version of pulling my pigtails.”
Downtown Canton’s Print & Press Shop & Studios has the feel of a boutique you might encounter in a bigger city’s hipster neighborhood. The merchandise is proudly handmade and smart, and this small shop—now in its third year, is loaded with it.
It’s ironic that one of downtown Canton’s biggest cheerleaders grew up in Akron. In 2015, Amy Eibel and her husband, Greg, launched Little Chicago Clothing Co., which features custom-designed screen printed T-shirts that celebrate Canton.
LUXE is unlike any publication in our community: An annual high-end collection of the finest businesses that serve Stark County, captured inside a beautifully photographed book, and showcased on a companion website.
