The judges loved the tangy flavor, crispy cracker crust and high-quality ingredients. The duck was delicious and well prepared, but the pizza felt almost a little too nontraditional. More a flatbread than a true pizza.
Feast judges loved the tasty look of the Philly Steak pizza, that the steak was cooked perfectly, and the great red pepper drizzle. Only suggested improvement was to dial back the garlic oil, which can overpower the pie.
Close your eyes and you might not realize you’re biting into a slice of pie because our silver medal winner tastes so much like a cheeseburger! Our judges were surprised by how much they liked this nontraditional pizza, and how much those pickles really add to the taste.
Pizza Wars goes to what judges describe as a “fork and knifer.” With fresh, crisp veggies and a lot of girth, this colorful favorite won’t disappoint, especially when you’re trying to feed the whole family.
For our pizza nights, we love Demico’s Pizzeria in North Canton. Not only does it have outstanding pizza (“it’s cheesy, salsa-y and delicious!”—anonymous 8-year-old), but parents will relish in the diverse menu, far superior to that of most carryout pizza joints.
