Pittsburgh is a roughly two-hour, 100-mile journey from Stark County. The city—which sits at the intersection of the Ohio, Allegheny and Monongahela rivers and boasts more than 440 bridges—is well worth the drive.
My very first trip to Pittsburgh resulted in accidentally accessing a bus-only route. After 20 minutes of traffic desolation on par with the apocalypse, a confounded but helpful police officer finally set us on the right path toward our destination.
Stark County is uniquely positioned such that big Ohio cities such as Cleveland and Columbus are easily accessible; so it’s almost unfair that it also is close to fun spots in neighboring states, such as Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
