Kelsey Davis has been the editor of About magazine since January 2014. She was born and raised in Stark County and received her bachelor’s degree from Kent State University. She currently resides in North Canton with her husband, Austin, and two cats, Max and Mila. She loves going to the library (even while on vacation) and believes everyone should use and enjoy their local library.
I’ll be honest, when we were told the week of March 9 that we would be working from home because of the coronavirus pandemic, I truly thought we’d be working from home for about two weeks.
Andrea Legg is the new director of the North Canton Public Library. A Stark County native, she graduated from Canton Central Catholic High School and Malone University before pursuing her Master’s of Library and Information Science degree at Kent State University. She lives in the Dover area with her husband and son.
Christina Weyrick is the community relations manager for the North Canton Public Library. She also serves as chair of the board of directors for the North Canton Area Chamber of Commerce. Christina is a member of the North Canton Educational Endowment board and is an active advocate for homeless animals.
One of my favorite summer activities is to go for a run in North Park in Jackson Township. I love how sunny and open the trail is, and the park always is full of people and activities. It sounds like a small, simple thing, but I look forward to it all winter when it’s cold and I’m stuck in the gym on a treadmill.
If you want to find The Little Art Gallery in North Canton, look behind the books. The gallery—an entrance hallway and a single room—is in the south wing of North Canton Public Library.
