For years, I’ve heard friends talk about how they love going to Jasmine Asian Bistro for date night, and I’m glad I finally tried it myself. The restaurant, located in a strip plaza on 30th Street in Canton, has a cozy ambiance and top-notch food.
I can remember the first time I ate sushi. It was about a dozen years ago when a friend took me to House of Hunan in Fairlawn. It was there I learned the ropes: navigating tiny dishes with chopsticks, gently stirring wasabi into soy sauce, “cleansing my palate” with small pieces of pickled ginger. Indulging in that first tuna roll changed me forever. It was as if I had been inducted into an elite club.
“It is an awesome honor,” said the owner of SOLID Fitness. “I really haven’t been here all that long. This is my fourth full year training, but I’ve only been open since October so this is an awesome honor.”
It’s immediately obvious that the owners and chefs at Jasmine understand the axiom that we eat first with our eyes. So much here is visually pleasing, starting with the understated elegance of the decor, primarily in shades of beige, gold and black.
