St. Michael School Men Who Cook fundraising event was held in February and featured 15 male chefs offering various small plates of delicious food. A silent and live auction also were part of the evening. During the course of the evening, the school raised more than $150,000 for school improvements and technology.
The Stark County Medical Society and Auxiliary hosted a fundraiser in January called “Mission Possible.” Its mission was to raise funds for four area organizations, Hope Outreach Ministries, Gateway Apartments, Quest’s Regional Center for Opiate Recovery and the auxiliary’s own Medical Scholarship Fund.
The wine-casual event was held at the Alex D. Krassas Center in Canton, and Meals on Wheels is proud to announce that the fundraiser exceeded its goal of $135,000. With 300 guests in attendance, the fundraiser was a sold-out event.
The Angel Auction is an annual black-tie, fundraising event of the Women’s Board of Aultman Hospital that celebrated its 45th anniversary this year. This year’s auction and dinner, whose theme was Angels on Broadway, took place in May in Canton Memorial Civic Center.
Girls on the Run is a national nonprofit transformational learning program for girls in third through eighth grades. The local program started in 2009 and now reaches more than 400 girls and their families.
