I loved school, and if time travel existed, I would go back to those childhood years. And not even for any do-overs, although a few would be nice. Mostly just to relive the freedom of being a kid. My preferred brunch food usually falls in the pancakes/waffles/French toast category, so when I stumbled on a recipe for blueberry pecan pancake bread pudding, I had to try it.
The concept is similar to French toast and cinnamon roll casseroles I’ve made before. You prepare your bread element and then soak it in a custard mixture for several hours before baking the whole thing.

If I could eat breakfast food all day, every day, I probably would. There’s nothing better than pancakes, eggs, waffles, bacon, donuts, a fresh cup of coffee and all that syrupy goodness. I’ve been scouting out local restaurants to feed my breakfast need.

I know, I know, Deli Ohio has graced the pages (ahem, cover) of our magazine before. Besides winning your “Local Faves” choice last September for fave lunch and fave sandwich, it was my pick for our inaugural Feast Awards in 2014.
