This is the perfect pace to unwind,” said Laura Starkweather, guest services specialist at Gervasi Vineyard. “Our service is stellar, we cater to their every need, and we have numerous packages that include golfing and spa treatments.”
The Marketplace and the Bistro are the first two buildings you see when you turn into the S-shaped driveway. The restaurant, aka the Bistro, is an old barn that sat on the property before Gervasi Vineyards was there, refurbished in rustic Italian style. The Marketplace, done in the same style as the Bistro, is an experience of its own. The cozy shop features numerous wines, Gervasi apparel, specialty foods, housewares and more.
In addition, Gervasi’s newest eatery is the Crush House, which features a wine bar and a lighter menu than the Bistro.
The Farmhouse provides guests the opportunity to stay in the property’s original farmhouse from 1830. It is nestled between the Bistro and the Villas. The Villas are upscale boutique inns. There are six of them with four rooms each. Guests have the option of reserving an individual suite or an entire villa for their getaway.
Amenities include walk-in showers, heated towel bars, fireplace, a refrigerator and so on. There are also several packages available, including a golf package with Glenmoor Country Club. The club will pick up the golfer at Gervasi and deliver guests back afterward. There is a Pro Football Hall of Fame package for football fans.
Also available during a stay are cooking classes, and Stark Parks has a walking path near the facility.
Prices for a Gervasi Vineyard stay start at around $200.
Another vacation staycation site is Glenmoor Country Club.
“We are one of Northeast Ohio’s hidden treasures,” said Olivia Lescallett, director of guest services at Glenmoor. “The Bertram Inn at Glenmoor is a destination unlike any other.”
Tucked into a scenic Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, the inn/club has a European spa and salon, a state-of-the-art fitness center, 11 private meeting rooms and licensed child care and limousine services.
The inn is open to the public. Overnight guests have access to restaurants—Scott’s Grill, the Loch Bar, and Black Heath—and tennis courts, swimming, child day care services and other amenities offered at the club.
Hotel stays start at around $159 plus tax, and guest fees for some of the amenities, per night. Pricing depends on the time of year, but packages are available.
