A local holiday tradition in its 37th year, the Christkindl Markt will launch the shopping season Nov. 14 through 16 at the Cultural Center for the Arts. The three-day show typically draws crowds of 4,500 and more.
Alocal holiday tradition in its 37th year, the Christkindl Markt will launch the shopping season Nov. 14 through 16 at the Cultural Center for the Arts. The three-day show typically draws crowds of 4,500 and more.
Visitors may browse through more than 100 booths of hand-crafted items. The juried artisans will display paintings, photography, jewelry, pottery, glass, woodcarvings, fiber and leather goods, dolls, puzzles, Christmas ornaments and more. Many will demonstrate their skills.
A cafe will serve sandwiches, soups, salads and desserts. A coffee shop will offer coffee, pastries, wine and cheese.
Christkindl hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $6, $5 for seniors and children. Parking is free. Proceeds benefit the Canton Museum of Art.
