Wedding spotlight: Ryan and Maria Davidson

It didn’t take long after Ryan Davidson and Maria Stroia met for the couple to know they had met their soul mate. They met at a backyard barbecue and ended up talking for the entire evening. He sent her flowers the next day, and they went on their first date that same week.

It didn’t take long after Ryan Davidson and Maria Stroia met for the couple to know they had met their soul mate. They met at a backyard barbecue and ended up talking for the entire evening. He sent her flowers the next day, and they went on their first date that same week. “From the next night on, we KNEW marriage was in our future!” Maria said. They were engaged the following spring. Ryan asked Maria’s parents for their blessing one day and planned to pop the question the following weekend. He arranged to send Maria to the spa for the day. He picked her up from the spa and told her he needed to stop back at her place before they went out to lunch. Once they got there, Ryan blindfolded Maria and carried her in, where the room was filled with roses and candles. He got down on his knee and asked her to marry him. The couple was married Sept. 12, 2009 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Chapel at Walsh University, with a reception following at La Pizzaria in Jackson Township.
