And thanks to a granted wish from a national nonprofit called Wish Upon a Wedding, they were able to celebrate their marital vows with the wedding of their dreams. The couple tied the knot Aug. 12 at the Courtyard Marriott in Jackson Township. Their dream wedding came together after Liane sent an application to Wish Upon a Wedding. Both have struggled with medical issues — David is a lymphoma cancer survivor and Liane suffers from sarcoidosis, myasthenia gravis and vasculitis. Mounting medical bills made a wedding out of reach before Wish Upon a Wedding stepped in with an army of local vendors eager to help by donating their services. “We will make it through this storm and one day will stand together in the sun,” David said of their continuing struggles with Liane’s health. The couple resides in Canton.
