It was obvious from the start that Lindsay and John were going to make each other very happy. During the next four years, John and Lindsay built their relationship on their humor and many common interests.
John popped the question after a meticulously planned date night at their favorite Denver restaurant. He had elicited the help of all of their friends and family to make the day extra special. Lindsay was ecstatic but not surprised at the thought and extra detail that John put into his proposal.
Lindsay’s bridal shower was held in August at the Onesto hotel in downtown Canton. Because the landmark hotel was under construction at the time, her shower was a combination of industrial elements and elegant details, which gave the shower a beautiful and unexpected feel.
John and Lindsay’s big day was September 13. The couple tied the knot at Crooked Willow farm in Larkspur, Colorado. The rustic and chic elements of the venue set an exquisite tone for the couple to exchange vows and celebrate their love with family and friends.
The newlyweds honeymooned along the Amalfi coast of Italy, a region they both always had wanted to visit. The Nelsons look forward to continuing to build their life together in Colorado and foresee many visits to Ohio as a married couple.
