Wedding spotlight: Allison Humbert and Derek Dorsett

Allison Humbert grew up in North Canton and Green and is a Green High School and Ohio State graduate. She married Derek Dorsett, an NHL hockey player for the Vancouver Canucks, formerly of the New York Rangers and Columbus Bluejackets. Allison and Derek met in Columbus when she was an Ohio State cheerleader and he played for the Bluejackets.

Since being together, Derek’s hockey career took them to New York City and Vancouver, where they reside. Their wedding was held in Columbus at the Country Club at Muirfield Village on June 28, 2014.

Everything about the day was special and captured both of their personalities perfectly, with more 250 of their friends and family in attendance. Allison is the daughter of Mike Humbert, of North Canton, and Judy Humbert, of Green, and is the sister of area musician Ryan Humbert.
