They dated just under two years before Aaron proposed on Sept. 3, 2011 while the couple were skydiving at Canton Air Sports. They were married on April 20, 2013 at Ashley’s childhood church in Akron, Park United Methodist. The ceremony was followed by a reception at Brookside Farms in Lousiville. “April 20th is also my parents anniversary, we were married in the same church with the same photographer,” Ashley said. She described their reception as “rustic princess,” noting her love for Disney, especially Belle and Cinderella. They also incorporated Aaron’s love for football with a cake topper and during the garter toss, he “prepped for game time” by getting his football buddies to put his gloves on, put eye black on, hand him a football, and so forth.
