Winner: Roll basket with cinnamon butter at Texas Roadhouse (and margaritas)
Honorable mention: Sweet potato fries with cinnamon sugar butter at John’s Bar & Grille
When choosing a place to have dinner, the rolls usually aren’t a major consideration.
But when it comes to Texas Roadhouse, the rolls definitely are a deciding factor. Texas Roadhouse serves the most appetizing rolls.
From the buttery, melt-in-your-mouth softness of the warm roll to the delicious, creamy cinnamon butter, they are hard to resist. The sweet, smooth butter melts perfectly on the heated rolls for a bite that tastes more like a dessert.
At Texas Roadhouse, the wait for dinner on a weekend is at least 40 minutes, if not 80 or more without call-ahead seating. It may seem ridiculous to wait that long just for rolls, but they are worth it.
Not only is the roll basket and cinnamon butter worthy of recognition, but Texas Roadhouse’s margaritas also merit a tasting. The restaurant has a variety, but the Jamaican Cowboy certainly is a treat. Made with Malibu Rum, DeKuyper Peachtree Schnapps, and orange and pineapple juices with just a bit of Texas Roadhouse’s Original Margarita, it’s tangy and sweet, and, as with every margarita at Texas Roadhouse, an additional kicker can be added to the mix. The Patron kicker adds an extra punch to the already-delicious margarita.
Other margaritas worth a try are the Razzlesnake, the Roadhouse Roadie and the Skinny Lime.
