wineA Barrel Room favorite, the Gauchezco Plata Malbec 2010 is gold for a variety of wine drinkers. Those who prefer wines such as pinot noir, grenache or blush will be pleasantly surprised with Plata because of its sweet, fruity flavors.

This malbec has concentrated dark fruit flavors—black cherry and blackberry, bitter chocolate and a hint of earthiness. Behind all of that bold flavor, it packs a punch at 14.2 percent alcohol by volume. So, it’s still a good choice for those who prefer a zinfandel, cab or heavy red blend.

Fermented with 100 percent malbec grapes, this ripe, violet wine is deep in tannins and draws a mouthwatering reaction. Be sure to ask the Barrel Room bartender which savory food items from its new menu pair well.
