One of Stark County’s past most eligible singles recently tied the knot. Stark County Common Pleas Judge Frank Forchione married Rachel Lewis on October 24 at Skyland Pines. And the newlyweds couldn’t be happier.

“He has a heart of gold … like no other,” said Lewis, senior regional planner at the Stark County Regional Planning Commission. “I’m surprised he was never taken off the market.”

The 54-year-old judge was in About magazine’s inaugural eligible singles feature in 2010. At the time, he described his ideal date as a weekend in New York City—which is where the couple got engaged.
Forchione owes a debt to Stark County Commissioner, now Canton Mayor Tom Bernabei and former Common Pleas Judge Richard Reinbold.

One evening in 2011, Forchione had planned to take his parents to the movies, so he was going to skip a fundraiser event for a county sales tax. They twisted his arm to at least make an appearance at the event.

That’s where he met Lewis.

“I do believe you can find love when you least expect it,” Forchione said.
