While at a recent editorial meeting, Alison Matas mentioned that she started drinking protein shakes. I immediately thought of those gym rats who make protein shakes and talk all about their “gains.” I admit, I gave Alison the weirdest look and questioned whether she was trying to bulk up.
Melissa Bloom-Doerschuk and David Doerschuk initially met on Facebook. His sister recommended he add Melissa as a friend. After several attempts, she finally responded. Melissa knew what she was looking for, and David had it. Within five months, the two were engaged, and a year and a half later, they were married.

I’m someone who always says she’s not that interested in art. But that’s actually a lie. Maybe I don’t know a valuable piece of art when I see one and maybe I don’t find art museums particularly enthralling, but I definitely value the arts. Art extends way beyond paintings and sculptures.
