Bob Rossiter grew up in downtown Canton just blocks from the Palace Theatre and has spent his life in Stark County, 43 years of it as a staff photographer for The Repository. He has photographed every president from Gerald Ford to Barack Obama, every sport from Little League to the Super Bowl and World Series. Outside the office, his photography continues with weddings, travel and his two grandchildren.

I’ve been growing the prickly pear alongside my home in Jackson Township for decades. Although prickly pears are edible, I enjoy the colorful flowers and stick to harvesting Seckel pears that are an arm’s reach away from them.
Our rescued cat Sam loves the outdoors, and in good weather, she spends time with us around the patio. While indoors she keeps an eye on the outside, running from one end of the house to the other, following squirrels, rabbits and chipmunks.
