Nearly 400 guests celebrated the kick off of The Repository’s bicentennial year with a formal gala in March. Community and business leaders gathered to honor the 200- year history of Stark County’s oldest, longest running business and Ohio’s longest-running newspaper. Community volunteer Lisa Warburton-Gregory served as chairperson of the gala. Past publishers and editors were honored at the event. And descendants of Repository founder John Saxton attended the event from as far away as Austin, Texas. A gourmet meal and live music topped off the celebration at the Cultural Center for the Arts.
