Adult Contemporary music star and Northeast Ohio native Jim Brickman will perform at the GlenOak High School Theater on Thursday, April 23, at 7:30 pm.
The show, which features Brickman and special guest artist Anne Cochran, will benefit the Plain Local Schools Foundation Arts Endowment Fund, the Abbey Foltz Memorial Scholarship Fund and the general operations of the foundation.Brickman’s career includes six gold- and platinum-selling albums, three No. 1 and 12 top 10 adult contemporary radio hits, a Grammy nomination in 2003, SESAC “Songwriter of the Year” award, a Canadian Country Music Award for “Best Vocal/ Instrumental Collaboration,” and a Dove Award presented by the Gospel Music Association for “The Gift.”
Brickman first performed at GlenOak in 2005 and raised more than $60,000 in honor of Abbey Foltz, a GlenOak High School graduate who died in 2000 after a long battle with cancer. The benefit marked the fiveyear anniversary of her death, and a star outside the theater bears her name.
