Bow ties, B-I-N-G-O and Bourbon was held in October at Glenmoor Country Club. Proceeds from this first-time fundraising event benefited the education and outreach programs of the Canton Symphony Orchestra. Cats on Holiday entertained with its lively and interactive zydeco style. Guests enjoyed bourbon-infused culinary creations by chef Ken Bucholtz while local bourbon aficionado Rick Eicheldinger managed bourbon tasting in the tavern. The main event was bingo. Doug Bennett served as “bingo caller extraordinaire” while Jess Bennett and Marci Lesho worked the crowd selling extra bingo boards and squares. Bingo prize values and excitement grew with each of the four games. Rosemary Hoover walked away with the evening’s grand prize of $1,500 in gift cards donated by Belden Village Mall. Thirteen local artists donated original works for the art auction, and custom bow ties created for the event by Cleveland’s Epic Bowties were sold and worn to support the cause.
