Shapes are everywhere in our lives. When such configurations come together in ways we don’t expect, it takes a moment to visually digest and comprehend what our eyes are telling us. This is especially true in architecture. The Wyndham Grand hotel, known formerly as the Hilton, is reflected in the windows of Three Gateway Center on Liberty Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh. The Gateway Center complex was constructed in the 1950s and 1960s as part of a urban renewal project to revitalize the city’s Golden Triangle.
