This a behind-the-scenes view of my drive into Rocky Mountain National Park during my trip to Colorado.

Letter From the Editor: June 2016

In a world in which everyone shares everything on social media, including the #crazyAHHmazing salad they had for lunch or the beautiful sunset they saw on their relaxing evening walk, it’s almost as if you know everything that’s going on in your “friends’ ” lives.

In a world in which everyone shares everything on social media, including the #crazyAHHmazing salad they had for lunch or the beautiful sunset they saw on their relaxing evening walk, it’s almost as if you know everything that’s going on in your “friends’ ” lives. How can their lives be so awesome? They’re out running marathons, shopping at trendy markets on the weekends, attending fancy galas, etc. Just look through your Instagram feed for more reminders of how spectacular their lives are.

But just remember what you’ve chosen to share and what you’ve kept secret from onlookers.

You shared the moment at the coffee shop when your tall iced mocha latte had the perfect cinnamon and whipped cream ratio, but you omitted the next moment when you dropped said drink on the floor. Nobody wants to see those real moments. At least not on social media.

But who doesn’t love an insider’s look at something really cool?

In this issue, we take you behind the scenes all over Stark County. What happens at the Massillon Museum that’s unknown to the general public? Charita Goshay found out. Want to know what it’s like to have a VIP shopping experience at The District Boutique? Alison Matas experienced it for herself. Read her account, and plan your next shopping experience there.

Maybe you’re more into sports. Joe Scalzo’s behind-the-scenes look at the Pro Football Hall of Fame had me laughing out loud. Read those insider’s looks and more.

One of our writers even got hands-on with her behind-the-scenes experience. Kelli Young worked on a DIY project with Becky Dunn of Rust & Found. See what she made in this month’s About Your Home.

It’s pretty neat to see what goes on essentially in secret from the outside world.

If only we knew the secrets that propelled this year’s class of Twenty Under 40 recipients to their success. They may not have dished all their keys to career success, but read all about their accomplishments.

There’s plenty more to read in this issue. Flip the page and enjoy!

Until next month,
Kelsey Reinhart, editor
