For once, forgetting an extra camera battery came at a good time. In the second quarter of the Jackson-Solon high school football game, my camera battery failed. Realizing I had neglected to put an extra one in my bag, I embarked on the long hike back to the parking lot for a replacement. On the return trip to the field I noticed that the full moon had risen just above field level in the northeastern sky. A football fan, elevated in the stands, provided the perfect complement to the image.
