Paula Mastroianni

Why do you do

what you do?

I have two passions — the business of marketing and communications and the feeding of the soul through art. I’ve been in marketing for nearly 30 years and loved every moment of it. The challenge of creating an environment that shapes people’s thoughts and opinions and leads people to action is exciting. I still get excited around my work. I feed my soul though through art. The visual arts are my favorite, and I am blessed to be able to express myself through glass. I make my own beads for my jewelry design business. When I get behind my 2,000-degree torch, I slip into my own world.

What is on your

bucket list?

The top items on my bucket list are to spend a period of time in Italy studying glass work under a master glass artist in Murano. I was there two years ago and have vowed to myself I’ll make it back someday to work side-by-side with them.

What is on your mind?

The state of America weighs heavy on my mind these days. So much infighting, so much “it's all about me” attitude. People need to come together for the common good or we’ll go by the way of other great civilizations before us.
