“And you are...” the guide asked, wanting to learn my name before we started our three-hour excursion. In the June issue of About, we told you about the first zip line canopy tour in the Midwest. Nestled into the Hocking Hills forest in southern Ohio, the tour takes adventurers through 10 zip lines and four sky bridges — all while 70 feet above ground. “Terrified,” I replied, as she chuckled and hooked my safety gear to the practice zip. I wasn’t joking. But three hours later as our tour returned — and the guide still thought my name was Terrified — I couldn’t believe I had been so nervous. It was truly a phenomenal and invigorating experience. I can’t wait to go again this fall. I bet the autumn leaves will provide a perfect backdrop for zipping through the forest canopy.
