As About magazine enters its third year, we figured a little sprucing up was in order.
No major changes, just some tweaking to continue to make the magazine stronger and more focused on you.
One change starting this month is the "In My Own Words" feature (Page 41). As has been our custom, this feature will continue to spotlight men and women who are involved in our community and passionate about what they do. But we've realized it's often difficult for these busy and humble people to write about themselves in a forum such as this. Instead, we'll now ask them to answer three questions in their own words:
1. Why do you do what you do?
2. What's on your mind?
3. What's left on your bucket list?
Also look to this feature for information on how to nominate someone you know for "In My Own Words."
Another change you'll see in this issue comes on Page 49. It's a new one-page feature placed after the Snapshots photos and just before the Last Look photo. This page is called "Focus on you" — and it does just that. This month's page includes 10 random questions, quotes, things we're happy about and a glimpse at the next issue of About. The elements of the page will change each month. But one thing will remain constant: The focus is on Stark County and the people here who are living the best life.
Other changes you'll see over the next few months will include nuts and bolts stuff such as new headline fonts and easier-to-read text. We're also looking to feature more of your photos in our popular Snapshots pages.

Staying on course
It's true that many Stark County golfers have walked all over Brian Huntley's work. Huntley, featured in our cover story this month, is a local golf course designer. He has designed 15
courses in Ohio alone, including many in Stark County. His philosophy on golf seems to make sense — perhaps that's why his business is called GolfSense. Huntley is trying to educate golfers that less can be more in an attempt to make golf more affordable. Find out more about Huntley and his design strategies on Page 20.
