Bobbie and Bill Lucas

When Bill Lucas asked Bobbie Tabellion to marry him on Christmas Day 2009, the bride-to-be said she was very surprised. “We hadn't looked at rings at all and had only briefly discussed marriage so I really had no idea he was going to propose!” Bobbie said. They were married on May 28, 2011, at the O’Neil House in Akron in an outdoor ceremony in one of the gardens there. Even the weather cooperated in making their day perfect.

Liane and David Parker

Liane and David have been through a lot together. And thanks to a granted wish from a national nonprofit called Wish Upon a Wedding, they were able to celebrate their marital vows with the wedding of their dreams. The couple tied the knot Aug. 12 at the Courtyard Marriott in Jackson Township. Their dream wedding came together after Liane sent an application to Wish Upon a Wedding. Both have struggled with medical issues — David is a lymphoma cancer survivor and Liane suffers from sarcoidosis, myasthenia gravis and vasculitis.
