More than 4,500 people attended last year’s Glenmoor Gathering of Significant Automobiles, drawn by the prospect of viewing more than 250 exemplary vehicles from across the United States on the lawn of historic Glenmoor Country Club.
 

This year’s casually elegant event was Sept. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and offered an entirely new field of gleaming classics.

There were displays of unique General Motors vehicles, classic Porsches, “woody” station wagons, 20 years’ worth of Ford Model T’s and a customized 1946 Chevrolet pickup truck that was a star at the 2008 Detroit Autorama.
In addition, the event offered cooking and flower-arranging demonstrations, an automotive art exhibit, food, drinks and more.
