Life is good! God has richly blessed me. I am very thankful for the life I have and the opportunities that have come my way. I was raised in North Canton and now call historic Ridgewood in Canton my home. Ridgewood is a gem — a great place to live and raise a family. This fall, my family will be in charge of Ridgewood’s annual Food Drive.
I am married to Rich Milligan; we met while volunteering at the Players Guild of Canton. We have four wonderful daughters. My oldest three daughters are graduates of McKinley Senior High School. Rachel attends Indiana University, Sarah attends Case Western Reserve University and in September, Anna will enter the University of Michigan. Our youngest daughter, Faith, attends Canton City Schools and is in the Canton High Ability Program at the Arts Academy at Summit. I am passionate about Canton City Schools and the great things that happen there.
I am a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and I have been an active volunteer in Canton City Schools. I have been a room mother, an after-school enrichment teacher and a chaperone for many field trips and choir tours. For the past seven years, a great deal of my time has been spent doing behind-the-scenes work for the McKinley choir and theatre program. I enjoy fundraising, seeking patrons for the shows, working on programs, posters and flower sales.
For many years, I have been a member of the Women’s Board of Aultman Hospital. This past year, I had the opportunity to serve on the Executive Committee. I have co-chaired the Invitations and Silent Auction committees and currently serve on the Marketing Committee for the Women’s Board new cookbook, “Dining In.” The Women’s Board is raising funds for the Compassionate Care Center.
My life is good. I thank God every day for the blessings in my life — family, friends, community, schools, a creative, fun job and many, many more.
