Community SpotlightJune 2009
Dennis Kelley
In my own words

One thing I learned early in my life is the importance of having strong mentors and learning from others. I have been very fortunate to have worked with, and been mentored by, some wonderful people that have helped me in my career and life. As a result of my experience, I have brought a passion for helping others to my business consulting company and my work in the community. It also became the basis for my book, “Achieving Unlimited Success.”

I passionately believe we all have the ability to do great things and to contribute to society in many different ways. One of my core beliefs is about just how important it is to clearly define our dreams and create a plan to accomplish them. Helping people do this is my mission and the reason I do what I do. I work with the owners of small businesses in our community, and I see the commitment these owners have to succeeding and making Stark County a strong and vibrant area. We are very fortunate to live in Stark County and to be able to contribute to a community that values hard work and community service.

I have been blessed to have the experience of living, working and traveling to different cities all over the United States. One thing that struck me about Stark County when we moved here 10 years ago was the strong sense of community. I see this in the business owners I work with as well as in the community activities in which I participate. Getting involved in community organizations such as the American Heart Association as the 2001 Heart Walk chairman, as a board member for Junior Achievement and in Leadership Stark County (19th class) has allowed me to give back to a community that has been so good to me and my family.

Stark County is a wonderful place to live and raise a family. My wife, Nancy, and I have raised three wonderful children. We are thankful to Stark County for the wonderful schools, community activities and support in doing so. I am honored to work with many of our business owners and community leaders to continue to strengthen our community.
