Sarah Betz, then 9, gets more contact than she expected when she offers a camel a carrot held between her teeth. She jumped back after the unexpected smooch, but the camel, which lives at Stump Hill Farms, got its treat. The camel was part of a first-century village re-created for Bible school at Perry Christian Church in Perry Township. This photo was published on Aug. 7, 1998 and has recently been displayed at the Joseph Saxton Gallery of Photography as a part of the “Pictures of You” photo exhibit.
